Thai authorities are investigating possible negligence behind a deadly inferno at a Bangkok bar that has killed at least 30 people, as survivors describe locked doors and missing exit signs.
The fire broke out late on Sunday and spread rapidly, with police saying flammable decorative materials near the stage may have fuelled its progress.
"This indicates a lack of caution and disregard for the safety of the patrons," Police General Kittiratt Phanphet said on Monday.
First responders found many victims in the restrooms at the far end of the bar - places experts believe they fled to but could not escape.
Dozens more were injured in the blaze, one of Thailand's worst such disasters in recent years.
The tragedy has renewed scrutiny of fire-safety enforcement at entertainment venues across the country.
