Amber Davies calls out audience member for filming Legally Blonde performance

Mid-show, still in full costume and with her mic live, Amber Davies did something most performers only dream of: she kicked a filming audience member out.
The Love Island winner, now starring as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde: The Musical, posted a video to Instagram Stories during Saturday's interval at Dublin's Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. A woman in the front row, she said, had filmed "the entirety of act one" and "had us all distracted."
"We've got a beautiful audience, but there's just one woman in the front row, been filming the entirety of act one," Davies told followers, calling it "your daily reminder not to film at the theatre." Staff removed the woman for act two.
It's part of a wider etiquette clash. Davies said a few people in Ireland had filmed this week, and she's the type to "count how many seats away you are from what door and you will be told and asked to leave."
The production company, Royo, declined to comment. But the moment struck a chord with theatre-goers tired of phones ruining live shows.
As Davies summed up: "Don't film. Let's just enjoy the two and a half hours together." A simple rule that's harder than ever to enforce.
